Bayern Munich transfer stance on Nottingham Forest target as £10m deal tipped

Bayern Munich are reportedly 'open to selling' Omar Richards to Nottingham Forest this summer.

Reports from the Telegraph claim the Reds have held talks with the German giants over a move for the English left-back this transfer window. Steve Cooper's side are not alone in their pursuit for the 24-year-old as French side Lyon are also keen.

Richards joined Bayern on a free transfer last summer after impressing with Reading in the Championship. The London-born defender featured 12 times in the Bundesliga last year, with a further four appearances coming in the Champions League.

With Cooper seeking a new left-back after Max Lowe returned to Sheffield United following the end of his loan spell, reports from Sky Sports Germany have claimed that Julian Naglesmann's side are open to selling Richards this summer.

Reports from Germany claim that the Reds are working 'intensively' on a deal for the Englishman, but Forest would have to pay between £8.5million and £10.3m. It is said that the fee would be a 'suitable' amount for Munich to allow the transfer to happen.

It remains unclear whether Richards would be open to a move to the City Ground. The left-back made 92 appearances for Reading during his time in Berkshire. Further rounds of talks are planned for Forest to add Richards to their squad.
