Barry Ferguson warns Scott Brown 'you'll get a few kicks' as Rangers and Celtic Masters fighting talk commences
Barry Ferguson reckons he owes Scott Brown 'a few kicks' - and expects the same treatment back when they do battle again at the Scottish Masters.
The beloved 6-a-side tournament is back this week as legends from Rangers, Celtic, Aberdeen and Dundee United will do battle in the P&J Live Arena in Aberdeen. It's to be broadcast live on BBC Scotland, with coverage running from 7.15pm to 10pm on Thursday, November 14.
Last year it was a fiery one and this year it's likely to be no different. Certainly not if Rangers captain Ferguson gets his way. He'll reignite old rivalries with Scott Brown and other Celtic greats of years gone by in the north east, and he'll be looking to get his own back after the Hoops won last year's tournament. He told Gambling.com: "I’m looking forward to it. It's going to be great meeting up with my ex-teammates. We don't see too much of one another, so it'll be good to catch up with all of them.
"And then coming up against some of the players that you used to play against a few years ago. Albeit, they're a lot younger than me - I'm probably going to be one of the oldest ones there.
"I'm not sure if I'll get a brilliant reception in Aberdeen, but no, I'm looking forward to it. It's always a good event. Unfortunately, I missed it last year because I had a knee problem and I got an operation. I've been doing a little bit of training, so I'm all good to go.
