Barry Ferguson's Rangers job chances rated as Celtic land unanimous derby verdict from Saturday Jury

FRASER WILSON: Why not? He looks comfortable in the shoes although you have to remember it’s two wins and two defeats from four games. Ferguson ticks a lot of boxes and has done his chances no harm so far. But there’s a long way to go in the season and he might be better suited as an assistant in the new regime.

SCOTT BURNS : It is far too early for that. The new owners already have managerial targets they want to speak to. I think they will continue down that track but if Rangers can advance in Europe again then it would enhance the current man’s chances.

ANDY NEWPORT: He’s certainly not harmed his chances. I suspect the new US owners will want a big name once they get their hands on the keys to Ibrox but at the very least Barry has made a decent case that he should be kept on in some coaching capacity.

FRASER:Celtic will be too strong on home territory against a Gers side leg weary and mentally drained from 120 minutes of Euro football on Thursday. Celtic don’t lose to the same opposition twice in a row domestically.

SCOTT: You would have to back Celtic. They are in far better domestic form although Rangers did win the last derby. I just think Thursday night would have taken too much out of Rangers and I expect the Hoops to take the points.

ANDY: Celtic are three games from the title and will be fired up while Gers had several players out on their feet by the end of extra-time on Thursday. It’s a huge ask for them to go again so soon after their gruelling exertions and Celtic will rightly be confident of the win.

FRASER: I’m going against all the cliches and sticking with form for this one. United have a bit more momentum at the moment - just a bit - and have a bit more resilience about them. Dundee also haven’t
