Bargain Hunt star Roo Irvine shares 'naughty' guilty pleasures

Bargain Hunt's antiques aficionado Roo Irvine, known on Instagram for being an "antique hunter, serial foodie, glass lover and cat nut", has become a well-known face on television, offering her expertise in shows such as Antiques Road Trip and Flipping Profit.

Arusha Irvine, better understood by her TV moniker Roo, made the leap from the corporate grind to pursue her zeal for antiques after facing the heartfelt loss of her father and father-in-law within just three weeks in 2013.

In the wake of personal loss, Roo and her husband decided to trade their corporate attire for the world of antiques, nurturing both their mothers and their mutual affection for historical treasures by establishing Kilcreggan Antiques. Their venture into the antique business has proven a fulfilling journey they've not regretted.

Further expanding her presence beyond television, she has launched both video and #RadioRoo podcast channels, and earlier this year she excitedly revealed her new monthly radio show, 'Roo's Rhythms', which is broadcasted on Lomond Radio.

In lighter conversations, Roo divulges her leisure activities and those little indulgences she savours with zest. With a light-hearted touch, she shared: "I do believe there are no such things as guilty pleasures, just pleasures, but there definitely are some that feel a little naughtier and self-indulgent!"

She unabashedly confesses her passion for food: "I LOVE food... I'm a huge foodie and I daydream about food and I also read menus like books, making each dish come to life in my head.

"My foodie guilty pleasure is mayonnaise; I eat far too much of it, but I have it with everything - Indian, Chinese, Italian... there are no limits."
