Barcelona transfer could hand Leicester City huge Charles De Ketelaere boost

Barcelona could help Leicester City to secure one of their targets this summer, amid City’s reported interest in Charles De Ketelaere.

The Club Brugge forward has been heavily linked with a move to the King Power Stadium since January. Latest reports suggest that City are ‘planning’ to make an offer for the Belgian international as part of a summer refresh in which Brendan Rodgers is keen to add more goals to his side.

De Ketelaere is highly rated in his home country, having scored 14 times in 33 league games this season. It has previously been reported that Brugge are looking for a price of €40 million for the 21-year-old this summer.

However, getting in a replacement could make the Belgian club more willing to sell the player. And it seems that they are now moving to add players in attacking areas.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Brugge are closing in on a move for Barcelona’s Ferran Jutglá. The 23-year-old looks set to arrive in Belgium for a fee of around €6 million.

Like De Ketelaere, Jutgla is able to play in any position among the front line, meaning that Brugge could be bringing him in as a potential replacement for the City target. Jutgla has already confirmed his Barcelona exit on social media with a message to fans.

The Spaniard has impressed for Barcelona's B side, scoring 19 goals in 32 appearances for the club. But with chances of breaking into the A side limited, he looks set to move on in search for more game time.

Should that transfer go through, it could be good news for Leicester City as Brendan Rodgers looks to add to his squad this summer.
