Barcelona star makes Marcus Rashford admission ahead of Manchester United tie

Andreas Christensen has hailed 'dangerous' Marcus Rashford as he prepares to face him in the Europa League.

Manchester United will come up against La Liga leaders Barcelona on Thursday in a heavyweight tie to decide who will advance to the last 16 of the tournament. Both sides go into the game in good form with the Catalonians winning their last 11 outings while Erik ten Hag's side are pushing to be in the Premier League title race.

Rashford is on a particularly hot streak with eight goals in his last nine games and Barca centre-back Christensen has admitted he poses a real threat to his side.

“He’s in great shape at the moment," he told Barcelona's in-house media. "I like him a lot, I love the way he plays. He’s a direct, dangerous and powerful player.”

The Danish defender has faced United on several occasions during his tenure at Chelsea but will come up against them for his new club for the first time on Thursday. Christensen is expecting a tough match and believes Ten Hag is taking the club to a higher level.

“They have great quality and their way of playing is good," he added. "I think ten Hag will take them to another level. It will be a tough game, but I think we are in a big moment. It will be a great game.”
