Barcelona legend loves watching ‘world-class’ Liverpool man; likes Chelsea standout too

Barcelona legend Dani Alves believes one Liverpool star has got ‘world-class skills’, while also heaping praise on a Chelsea man.

Alves won a host of trophies during his initial spell at Barcelona. He helped the Blaugrana to lift six La Liga titles, three Champions Leagues and five Copa del Reys.

The Brazilian left Barcelona in July 2016, going on to join Juventus. He then had spells at Paris Saint-Germain and Sao Paulo.

Alves could have hung up his boots, but instead decided to return to the Nou Camp in November. He saw that the Spanish outfit were in trouble and opted to help out.

Alves, now 38, has made nine appearances for Barca during his second spell. He may be past his best, but he is undoubtedly one of the greatest right-backs in the history of the sport.

And Alves has sung the praise of two Premier League stars that operate in his position, including Liverpool‘s Trent Alexander-Arnold.

During an interview with FourFourTwo, the 122-cap international said: “I admire Trent Alexander-Arnold very much.

“He’s a fantastic footballer – this guy has got world-class skills.

“I also like to watch Reece James and Achraf Hakimi. They mix strength with technique and are also great players.

“The three of them obviously have different characteristics and styles – but they all know how to do the job.”

Alexander-Arnold has been in blistering form this campaign. His record stands at two goals and 17 assists from 35 matches in all competitions.

His most recent assist Premier League assist came against West Ham on March 5. The England international fired into the box and Sadio Mane was on hand to finish from close range.
