Xavi Hernandez, the former midfielder and manager of FC Barcelona, has been finally sacked. Rumours of Xavi’s possible departure appeared at the beginning of the year, with the coach himself repeatedly stating that he could resign at the start of the season. But in April his mood changed, after which Hernandez said that he is full of energy and determination to continue working with the team and lead it to the final.  The situation changed dramatically after the coach made a public and rather radical criticism of the club’s financial policy, which angered Barcelona president Joan Laporta.
