Bajrami and Igamane strike instant bromance and Tavernier transfer poser gets spiky response - Rangers news bulletin

Nedim Bajrami struck up an instant bond with Hamza Igamane at Rangers training - and the pair could be unleashed against Dundee United in a bid to ignite a stuttering season.

The Albania midfielder was only in the door at the Rangers Training Centre for a day after sealing his move from Sassuolo before he was whisked away for Nations League duties with his country. But he's back now and ready to make his mark.

Images from the training session ahead of Sunday's trip to Tannadice showed Bajrami all hugs and smiles with teammate Igamane, another new signing looking to make his mark. The noise from fans on social media is that Clement needs to let the pair loose to get things back on track. And for Bajrami's part, at least, he says he's ready to go.

The 25-year-old said at his media conference: “It was a stressful deadline day but I’m really happy to join the club. Today was my first day and I was really happy to meet the coach and everyone.

“I feel really happy and good to be here. I am ready for Sunday but it’s up to the coach. The coach is someone who wants to play forward, I think I can help with the style of play.

“My talks with the coach and sporting director were good. I’m still young but I have experience, especially from the national team. I am a player happy under pressure."
