Bailey Tardy surges to Blue Bay LPGA win as Stephanie Meadow earns top 10 finish
USA's Bailey Tardy surged to a four-shot victory at the Blue Bay LPGA, while Ireland's Stephanie Meadow sealed a top 10 finish.
Meadow had been on course to end the tournament held in China within the top 10 of the leaderboard and a final-round 69 on Sunday ensured that she finished eighth on 11 under, eight shots off Tardy's total.
After a mixed front nine that featured three bogeys and two birdies, the Antrim native found a rich vein of form in the final stretch, with five birdies, including three on the trot from 13-15, and just one bogey on the penultimate hole.

Tardy, meanwhile, had held a share of the overnight lead alongside fellow American Sarah Schmelzel and New Zealand's Lydia Ko on 12 under.
But while the latter duo carded 69 and 71 to finish runner-up and tied for fourth respectively, it was Tardy who seized the initiative with a seven-under 65 to finish on 19 under, an eagle on the par-five eighth proving to be the highlight.
"There has been a lot struggle. I did play well at the US Open but there was a lot of doubt in my head that I couldn't compete at this stage, so just to be able to come out on top and be an LPGA winner means the world," she said.
