Bahrain Darts Masters results LIVE as Luke Littler defends his crown
Luke Humphries is eyeing the title to make his mark as World No.1
Cool Hand destroyed Abdulla Saeed in his opener as he aims to back-up his World Series win in New Zeland last year.
Humphries is blacking out the loss of his World crown and said: “It’s nice to be back playing. Obviously I was gutted to lose the game against Peter [Wright] in the World Championship but I didn’t let it affect me too much.
“I understood that it was over for me, and Luke was a fantastic winner. He deserved it. I put myself on the practice board after a couple of days and I feel good in my game. I’ve never won the second game in Bahrain before so I want to go that little bit further.
“I’m still the World No.1 and that means a lot to me, so I still have to play like a World No.1 and I still have to perform like a World No.1. That makes it important for me to go on and perform and play at my best.”
Chris Dobey is looking for more of the same after his winning Bahrain start.
The Geordie hammered local ace Basem Mahmood in the opening round to set-up a tie with Stephen Bunting.
Dobey, who reached the semi-finals of the 2025 PDC World Darts Championship and is set to return to the Premier League Darts in the coming year, was emphatic in finishing smacking six of eight double tries.
He said: “It felt good. I played well and my doubles were going in, so I’m happy. I’m delighted to be here and hopefully I can keep performing like this.”
Gerwyn Price has warned Luke LIttler the pressure is all on him as he aims to destroy the kid’s party.
The Welshman believes he can dump the defending champion out at the last eight stage.
Price is adamant he has nothing to lose against the wonderkid World Champion who is on a roll after Ally Pally success.
He said:
