'Back on track!' - Cristiano Ronaldo sends message after Manchester United beat Brighton
Cristiano Ronaldo has shared a defiant message as he scored in Manchester United's victory over Brighton and Hove Albion.
United certainly did not have it all their own way at Old Trafford in the first half as Brighton controlled possession and chances.
But, like United in games this season, the Seagulls were unable to turn their chances into goals as the two sides went into the break level.
Shortly after the break, Ronaldo made his presence known scoring in front of the Stretford End to give the home side the lead.
A few moments later and the visitors were down to ten men as Lewis Dunk was sent off for a challenge on Anthony Elanga which denied a goalscoring opportunity.
Bruno Fernandes wrapped up the three points in stoppage time as Brighton pushed for an equaliser.
Following the final whistle, the Portuguese superstar took to Twitter to share a defiant message.
His tweet read: "Back on track!
"Nobody gives up and there's only one way to get back on track: hard work, team work, serious work.
"Everything else is just noise.
"Let's go Devils!"
Manchester United return to action on Sunday afternoon against Leeds at Elland Road.
