Bacary Sagna tells Gabriel Jesus what to do about Man City future amid Arsenal interest
Gabriel Jesus has been hotly linked with a move to Arsenal this summer, but one former Manchester City and Gunners defender says the Brazilian should stay put.
The striker has netted seven times since the start of April, taking his tally to 13 with 12 assists to go with it. These included important goals against Real Madrid and Liverpool.
But the imminent arrival of Erling Haaland has stirred up yet more speculation about a move away. Jesus was included in City’s 2022/23 home kit promo on Thursday, leading some fans to suggest he may be staying at the Etihad.

Bacary Sagna claims this would be the right decision for the 25-year-old, partly due to the belief that City will be lifting the Champions League in the coming years. He told MEN Sport, courtesy of Bet365: “I believe he will stay at the club; I don't see him playing anywhere else, he belongs to Manchester City.
“He can still have such a big impact at the club. He’s scored many goals, so he’s very important.
“The way he presses, the way he is tight with the ball, he's a different style but he's a key player still for Man City so I don't see him leaving. I don't see him performing for another team.
“I personally think he should stay because they are very close to winning the Champions League.”
