Aymeric Laporte confirms Man City exit ahead of Al Nassr transfer
Aymeric Laporte has confirmed he is leaving Manchester City ahead of completing a move to Al Nassr.
City accepted a £23.5million bid from the Saudi Arabian Premier League side last week. The centre-back wasn't involved in the UEFA Super Cup final win over Sevilla or the Premier League victory against Newcastle United as he completed the transfer.
Laporte joined City from Club Athletic in January 2018 in a £60m deal and played a crucial role in five Premier League title wins and last year's treble triumph. However, his game time was limited last term after losing his place in the side to Manuel Akanji and Nathan Ake.

The 29-year-old is now set to follow former teammate Riyad Mahrez in Saudia Arabia and will be joining Cristiano Ronaldo and Sadio Mane at Al Nassr. In a good bye message to City fans posted on social media, Laporte wrote: “Dear Cityzens, today I wanted to share a story with you,” Laporte said in a video on Twitter that went on to show a highlights reel of his time at Man City.
“This is now our history. Thank you and see you really soon.”
He added in the social media post: “It has lasted for five-and-a-half unforgettable years.
“Plenty of memories that I will keep forever close to my heart.”
The sale of Laporte takes City's earnings from this summer over £100m following the departure of Mahrez and the sales of EDS products James Trafford, Shea Charles and Carlos Borges. The sale comes as the club's expenditure is set to reach £160m with the immenant arrival of winger Jeremy Doku in a £55.5m deal.
City are also considering further adding to their midfield with Crystal Palace playmaker Eberechi Eze and Wolves
