Australian Open live blog: Ash Barty takes on Danielle Collins in women's final, before all-Australian doubles final featuring Kyrgios and Kokkinakis

Ash Barty is looking to win her third career grand slam women's singles title against Danielle Collins and become the first Australian woman since Chris O'Neil in 1978 to lift the trophy at Melbourne Park.

Following that, it's an All-Australian men's doubles final when Nick Kyrgios and Thanasi Kokkinakis take on Max Purcell and Matthew Ebden.

Barty in singles finals is 14-6 lifetime and is 2 from 2 in grand slam finals having won the French open in 2019 and Wimbledon in 2021

Barty has not dropped a set at this tournament and only lost 21 games

As for Collins this is her first trip to the final of a grand slam but she has never lost a final on the WTA Tour.

Those 2 finals were hardly at this level though.

Her biggest victory came at the 2021 Silicon Valley Classic where she defeated Russia's Daria Kasatkina in the final.

Collins has only lost 2 sets in this tournament, against Danish youngster Clara Tauson in round 3 and Belgian veteran Elise Mertens in round 4.

Barty leads that 3-1 but Collins won their last battle

I'm Paul Johnson and I'll be with you for a big night in the history of Australian tennis.

Ash Barty will take on Danielle Collins in her bid for a third grand slam singles title before Nick Kyrgios and Thanasi Kokkinakis take on fellow Australian pair Max Purcell and Matthew Ebden in the men's doubles final.

No Australian woman has won the women's singles title at home since Chris O'Neil in 1978.

As always feel free to send through any questions or comments.
