0254 NAVARRO PASSES WANG TEST
American eighth seed Emma Navarro, the 2024 U.S. Open semi-finalist, battled to a 6-3 3-6 6-4 win over unseeded Chinese Wang Xiyu on Margaret Court Arena.
0225 HURKACZ STUNNED BY KECMANOVIC
Polish 18th seed Hubert Hurkacz was sent packing by unseeded Serbian Miomir Kecmanovic, who beat the 2024 quarter-finalist 6-4 6-4 6-2.
0208 RADUCANU KNOCKS OUT ANISIMOVA, TO FACE SWIATEK
Emma Raducanu, the 2021 U.S. Open champion, overcame a hip issue to eliminate American Amanda Anisimova in a 6-3 7-5 victory.
It is the first time the 22-year-old Raducanu has progressed to the third round at Melbourne Park. She will next face world number two Iga Swiatek.
"I'm loving it. It's another opportunity to test my game ... I think obviously she's (Swiatek) achieved so much already and I think going into it, I have nothing to lose. I'm just going to swing. I'm going to give it my best and I can't wait to play in front of you guys," Raducanu said.
