Audi seized after driver spotted 'revving wrong way down one way street'

Police seized an Audi after police spotted the driver 'revving the wrong way down a one way street' in Manchester city centre.

Officers stopped the driver near Spinningfields last night (Friday), police said in a post on the GMP City Centre Facebook page. They 'assisted them in finding their feet' before seizing the car.

The driver was reported for driving without due care and attention, police said. The Audi was seized 'for anti-social driving'.

The Facebook post said: "#GMPTransportUnit, stopped this driver after they were purposefully revving their engine whilst driving, the wrong way up a one way street.

"Needless to say we assisted this driver into finding their feet and pointed them in the direction of the nearest taxi rank, after reporting the driver for driving without due care and attention and seizing the vehicle for anti-social driving."
