Aston Villa predicted XI vs Tottenham as two ruled out and four players return

Aston Villa welcome Tottenham Hotspur to Villa Park today in the late kick-off at 5.30pm.

Villa have lost their last three games on the spin, whereas Spurs have won their previous trio of games against Brighton, West Ham and, last week, Newcastle. Antonio Conte lauded Harry Kane at his pre-Villa press conference yesterday, outlining how the England man is back in the form of his life.

Looking at the two teams, expects Danny Ings and Lucas Digne to return to Villa's XI. Ings became a father less than 12 hours before kick-off last weekend and was told to stay in London with his new-born baby instead of travelling to Molineux while, for Digne, he complained of an upset stomach and was withdrawn early in the 2-1 defeat to Wolves.

Villa, meanwhile, should welcome back Marvelous Nakamba to the squad for the first time in four months. The African midfielder, hugely missed since his knee injury in December, made his playing return for Villa's under-23s last week with an hour-long showing. As for Kortney Hause, the centre-back is still said to be struggling with an abdominal injury. Fellow centre-back and club captain Tyrone Mings is one booking away from serving an automatic two-game suspension after clocking up nine yellow cards. His total will reset after Villa's match with Norwich on April 30.

As for Tottenham, Conte confirmed that Ryan Sessegnon (thigh) and Sergio (knee) Reguilon will both be back and in contention. Japhet Tanganga (knee) and Oliver Skipp (hip) are still both ruled out, though.

Lloris; Romero, Dier, Davies; Doherty, Bentancur, Hojbjerg, Reguilon; Kulusevski, Son, Kane.
