Aston Villa boss Steven Gerrard teases 'next big journey'

Hyundai Motor Company have announced that Aston Villa head coach Steven Gerrard is an ambassador for their new global sustainability campaign.

Hyundai have confirmed their global sustainability campaign under the banner ‘Goal of the Century’. And it will launch on Earth Day - which lands on Friday, April 22 - running through and beyond the upcoming FIFA World Cup.

Villa boss Gerrard features in a manifesto film and global TV commercial alongside global pop sensation BTS, who both share Hyundai's ambition to 'unite humanity through football and encourage universal support for a sustainable future'. Gerrard said on Instagram: "I led my team. My club. My country. But is there something bigger to come? Something that unites us all? Join me on my next big journey and help me to score the most important goal there is. Are you in? Find out on April 22nd."

The campaign program is part of Hyundai’s mission to achieve carbon neutrality by 2045 and Thomas Schemera, Global Chief Marketing Officer and Head of Customer Experience Division at Hyundai Motor, said: "The 'Goal of the Century' campaign aims to unite the world for sustainability, inspired by the pure value of team spirit and togetherness created by the universal love of football.
