Assassin's Creed 8K remaster video is absolutely stunning

Digital Dreams have released their latest “Beyond All Limits” project, and this time it’s beloved classic Assassin’s Creed that has been remastered.

Originally developed by Ubisoft Montreal, the 2007 story-driven action-adventure title quickly became one of the most popular video franchises in the world.

Gamers were able to follow the journey of Altair at the time of the Third Crusade in the Holy Land. The original PlayStation 3 and Xbox game is still a fan-favourite and many are calling for an official remaster like the ones undertaken by several other classics.

A new mod has shown what an updated version of the title could look like, and it is amazing!

YouTuber and digital artist Digital Dreams have adjusted the 15-year-old game to allow fans a glimpse of what it could look like with 8K visuals.

Using side-by-side visuals, the mod has allowed fans to see how aesthetically underwhelming the Assassin’s Creed is without a nostalgia-lens.

An eight-minute demo sees some original clunky animations that cannot be enhanced paired with new additions to tease what could be expected if Ubisoft committed to a remaster in 2022.

Utilising texture mods and reshade pre-sets, Digital Dreams have managed to renovate the visuals and lighting of the game to make it look phenomenal.

Whilst the familiarity of the original game remains, the technological enhancements allow for gamers to become immersed in new details that may have gone unnoticed before.

The graphics and visuals are on an unimaginable scale and gives the game a whole new lease of life that is sure to appeal to global target audiences.
