As it happened: Alex Lanier beats Loh Kean Yew to take Singapore Badminton Open title
SINGAPORE: Alex Lanier has been crowned the men's singles champion at the Singapore Badminton Open after beating home favourite Loh Kean Yew in a three-game thriller.
Loh had started strong and won the first game 21-17 against the Frenchman. Lanier then drew level in the next game, taking it 21-15, before seeing off his Singaporean opponent 21-14 in the third game.
