Arsenal vs Manchester United prediction and odds: Ralf Rangnick's side facing another defeat

Back our 3/1 Arsenal vs Manchester United prediction with Betfred and get £60 in free bets and bonuses!

Just when you thought Manchester United's season couldn't get any worse, they serve up a stinker of a performance at Anfield.

Fourth place is (or was) still up for grabs for this side so it's not as if they have nothing to play for, but you wouldn't have guessed that given what we saw on Tuesday night. United were missing some key players, no doubt, and they were playing arguably the best side in the world right now, but this shower are not capable of raising their game for even the biggest of occasions.

So what chance they can go to Arsenal and keep the top-four race alive by taking maximum points? Don't get your hopes up.

United are 5/2 pokes (around 28 per cent in probability terms) with Betfred to bounce back while the hosts, buoyed by their stunning 4-2 win at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night, have been clipped into 21/20 to post back-to-back wins.

Barring a recent blip, Arsenal have been pretty solid at the Emirates this term despite averaging just 1.56 goals per game — the lowest attacking output of any side in the top seven (home games only).

Chance conversion, not creation, has been an Achilles heel of the Gunners this term — even in the 2-1 defeat against Brighton last weekend, they racked up 20 efforts on goal and outperformed the visitors comfortably in terms if xGF (1.9 compared to 0.4).

However, after three straight blanks in front of goal, it all came together for Arsenal at Stamford Bridge and that performance will give them a huge bounce going into the closing stages of the season. And one thing they are guaranteed to get against United is chances.

Arsenal will know United are there for the taking
