Arsenal told to steal ‘valuable’ Manchester United talent to kickstart his peak career form

The rivalry between Arsenal and Manchester United is an iconic Premier League fixture that peaked in the late 90s and early 00s. The two clubs since have fallen away, United were able to keep their title-challenging up for longer but Sir Alex Ferguson’s departure quickly ended that.

Arsenal are now on the rise and the Gunners’ aims are to finish in the top four. At present, having played a game less, Arsenal are four points clear of their old foes. Should they qualify for the Champions League, it could be the catalyst to significantly widen the gap between the two teams.

The transfer business will be key, however, should the Gunners be able to poach one of United’s top talents, unsettled in Manchester, perhaps they could not only strengthen themselves but weaken their old nemesis.

Marcus Rashford is said to be considering his future according to Fabrizio Romano. Reported in early March, the England international sees his deal run out in 2023 – although United do have an option to extend.

His lack of game time behind Anthony Elanga and Jadon Sancho has seen frustration grow. With Arsenal looking at forwards in the summer, perhaps Rashford could be that player?

Speaking to Reach’s scouting writer Josh Williams on the latest episode of Analysing Arsenal on The Arsenal Way, he believes that it is not something the Gunners should rule out by highlighting the value Rashford could add to any team he joins.
