Arsenal target Dusan Vlahovic prefers Manchester City move

Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic is holding out for a move to Manchester City despite receiving an offer from Arsenal, according to reports in Italy.

The Gunners have made the 21-year-old one of their top targets for the January transfer window and have already submitted a bidof £50 million plus Lucas Torreira to Fiorentina.

However, Arsenal have yet to receive a response from Vlahovic’s representatives, while Fiorentina have also been kept in the dark regarding the striker’s decision over his future.

According to La Repubblica, Vlahovic ‘is in no hurry’ to make a decision over his next move but his ‘dream’ would be to move to the Premier League.

Unfortunately for Arsenal, the report claims that Vlahovic has his eye on a switch to Manchester City, and the Premier League champions are also keeping tabs on the Serbia international’s situation.

City, however, are also keeping a close eye on Erling Haaland’s availability as Borussia Dortmund could be open to selling the 21-year-old this summer.

Reports this week have claimed that Juventus have also entered the race to sign Vlahovic.

The Serie A club were understood to be holding off until the summer but a €70m (£58m) bid has been submitted.

Vlahovic is also said to be interested in a move to Juventus, who are willing to offer the striker a significant rise on his current deal.

Fiorentina, meanwhile, have grown frustrated with the lack of clarity over Vlahovic’s future as the striker will have just a year remaining on his contract this summer.
