Arsenal star Gabriel Jesus has blasted Everton defender Yerry Mina after the pair were involved in a confrontation during the Gunners' pre-season friendly against Everton last week.

Jesus signed for the north Londoners this summer after completing a £45million move from Premier League champions Manchester City. The Brazilian has scored three goals since signing for the Gunners, impacting Mikel Arteta's squad immediately.

The Brazilian has been praised by his new teammates labelling Jesus an 'amazing talent' and 'great guy'. Jesus scored in Arsenal's 2-0 win over Frank Lampard's side but was involved in an incident with the Everton defender during the game.

Speaking to reporters after Arsenal's 3-1 win over Orlando City, Jesus commented on the altercation with Mina last week. The Brazilian said: "You know what, I have played with Mina before in Palmeiras.

"We were so close to each other. Then, after, I don't know why he started to attack me to do something like this on my chest and then talking s**t. I don't know why.

The Colombia international aimed several aggressive gestures toward Jesus in an unsavoury moment during the pre-season friendly. Mina has a history of winding opposition players up, including Lionel Messi, during a fixture between Colombia and Argentina.
