One of those potential incomings is Lille striker Jonathan David, who has previously been the subject of interest from the Gunners after Edu held talks with the player’s agent back in December. David ranks among the best forwards in Europe's top five leagues for pressures per 90 (19.96), while he has scored 13 goals in 36 Ligue 1 appearances this season.

It should be noted that while David’s stats may not stand out compared to Europe’s big hitters, Lille have found themselves engulfed in problems this season after a season of managerial departures and a financial situation which is expected to see a number of key players leave this summer.
