Arsenal predicted line-up as Mikel Arteta sweats on key duo for Manchester United clash

Arsenal could be forced into alterations for the mouth-watering trip to face Manchester United on Sunday.

The Gunners hold the only 100 per cent record remaining in English football with five wins from as many games in the Premier League this season. They make the trip to Old Trafford to face Erik ten Hag's side, who are in fine fettle themselves with three wins on the spin.

With regards personnel, Arsenal chief Mikel Arteta may well be forced into shaking up his team. Having made only minor tweaks up until now he will be reticent to shake the boat too much. But two of his key players face late fitness tests ahead of the trip to Manchester.

Goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale and captain Martin Odegaard both picked up knocks in the midweek home win over Aston Villa. Whilst Ramsdale completed the game, Odegaard exited ten minutes before time. Both will be stringently tested before the game on Sunday.

If Ramsdale misses out then American stopper Matt Turner could be drafted in for a debut, whilst the same could apply to Fabio Vieira if Odegaard is forced to sit out.

Oleksandr Zinchenko, who would have put a big circle around this fixture following his transfer to the Gunners from Manchester City, definitely misses out with a knee injury and joins Mo Elneny and Thomas Partey on the sidelines.

Speaking on Friday, Arteta posted an update on the doubtful Ramsdale and Odegaard: "Those two, they have been assessed. We will see more tomorrow. Hopefully they will be available to train with the team. Unfortunately with Alex (Zinchenko), that’s still not the case. He’s missed two games and he hasn’t been able to train with the team yet."

Elsewhere, the defence looks set to remain unchanged
