Arsenal pre-season 2022/23: How to watch, schedule, fixtures and more

Arsenal suffered yet another top-four sorrow in 2021-22, as they failed to qualify for the Champions League, but great progress is being made by an exciting young squad that continues to work under Mikel Arteta‘s watchful eye.

The Gunners will compete in the Europa League in 2022-23, with a more demanding schedule suggesting that money will be spent on strengthening the depth of the first-team squad.

Pre-season games will offer any newcomers a chance to settle in and Arteta a chance to tinker with tactical plans, with GOAL on hand to bring you everything you need to know about Arsenal’s pre-season preparations.

In the months leading up to the 2022/23 season, Arsenal will embark on a pre-season tour. Last season, the Gunners were supposed to go overseas for their pre-season preparations, but Covid-19 derailed those plans. Instead, they faced up against London rivals Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur in high-profile contests.

Here’s what we know so far regarding their pre-season preparations for 2022/23.

The 2022-23 Premier League season is set to begin on August 6, 2022, over the weekend.

Because the top-flight fixture list will not be announced until 9 a.m. BST on Thursday, June 16, it is unknown who Arsenal will face to start the season, or when key excursions such as derby games with arch-rivals Tottenham will take place.

Arsenal’s pre-season will begin with a match against Premier League rivals Everton at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore. After that, they’ll compete in the FC Series.

The series is a nationwide expansion of the Florida Cup, which has been hosted in Florida since 2015 and features teams from all over the world. They’ll be up against Orlando City of the Major League Soccer and Chelsea of the Premier League.
