Arsenal's transfer window continues to take shape with very little time left before their opening night clash under the lights at a ground that has proved difficult for them in recent years in Selhurst Park.

The Gunners have already made some notable additions to their squad, including £45million-man Gabriel Jesus and fellow former Manchester City star Oleksandr Zinchenko. The aim of the game now is to trim the team and sanction some departures, with plenty of players having been deemed surplus to requirements.

With that in mind, Mirror Football has collected the most eye-catching Arsenal news as speculation continues to grow surrounding potential incomings and the odd outgoing.

Arsenal have reached an agreement with Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans over a transfer this summer that would see their spending surpass the £150m mark.

Mikel Arteta's side had yet to actually submit a formal offer for the Belgian international, but their efforts have been helped by the fact personal terms with the player were agreed some time ago.

There are reports that Tielemans could be available for a transfer fee as little as £30million due to the fact the 25-year-old only has 12 months left to run on his current Foxes contract.
