Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has hit back at Steven Gerrard's assessment of Bukayo Saka after the Gunners winger was injured in Saturday's clash between the two sides.
Saka was unable to complete the game, ultimately having to leave the pitch after a robust challenge by Tyrone Mings, but Villa boss Gerrard dismissed calls to for referees to give the young England star more protection. And following Gerrard's claim that Saka "can’t complain about that side of it", Arteta has hit back.
It comes as Martin Odegaard has spoken about a big switch he has seen at international level with Norway. And Gabby Agbonlahor has performed a U-turn on his comments on Arsenal's celebrations after beating Villa after being torn apart by Laura Woods.
