They host Manchester United in the day's early kick-off, before Tottenham Hotspur travel to Brentford in the late fixture; a victory for Arsenal would heap a lot of pressure on their local rivals and effectively end United's hopes of getting in the top-four mix.

Former Arsenal forward Paul Merson has said Eddie Nketiah's performance on Wednesday was reminiscent of Ian Wright.

Nketiah was handed a rare start by Arteta and the faith from his manager was rewarded with two goals. Merson bestowed some high praise on the youngster in the aftermath of the Stamford Bridge win, but still questioned whether or not he has a future in north London.

"Eddie Nketiah reminded me of Ian Wright against Chelsea and he should play every game now for Arsenal until the end of the season," he said.
