The past week has not been a good one for Arsenal. In the space of six days their Champions League hopes appear to have gone from nailed on to very slim thanks to two losses to Crystal Palace and Brighton, while Tottenham have wracked up emphatic wins against Newcastle and Aston Villa.

To make matters worse Kieran Tierney has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a knee problem, while there is a possibility Thomas Partey could join him in missing the rest of the campaign after damaging his thigh. Takehiro Tomiyasu is also out for at least another week as he continues to recover from a calf problem.
