Arsenal: Kroenkes will show 'intent' if £135m trio all sign at the Emirates

Arsenal owner Stan Kroenke and director Josh Kroenke can show their intent by getting Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli and William Saliba to all sign new contracts at the Emirates, says journalist Paul Brown.

The north London club will not want to lose any of the trio, but their current deals are running down.

As per Transfermarkt, Saka, Martinelli and Saliba have deals up until 2024.

When it comes to Martinelli, Arsenal do have the option to extend his contract by a further year, but they will undoubtedly want to keep hold of him for much longer.

The Brazilian has been fantastic this season, recently scoring in the 3-2 win against Liverpool, and reports suggest that talks about an extension are underway.

As for Saka and Saliba, Mikel Arteta hinted in August that the former was close to agreeing a new deal with the Gunners and, since then, the latter has revealed that there has been discussions on his side about a fresh contract.

While it may not be able to help them to completely win over the Arsenal fanbase, Brown thinks the Kroenkes will send out the right message if the club's plan to get the £135m-rated trio to put pen to paper on extensions is a success.

Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, the journalist said: "You don't often get a whole lot of credit from fans just for keeping hold of players, do you? The fans tend to get more excited when you're signing a big name, so I'm not sure getting that done would change many Arsenal fans' opinions of the Kroenkes and what they've done with the club.

"But it would certainly go a long way towards showing the kind of intent that maybe Arsenal's owners haven't always shown in the past."
