Arsenal Kieran Tierney 'basement' price could alert Celtic

Arsenal are believed to be prepared to let defender Kieran Tierney go for as little as £10m this summer as they look to trim their squad ahead of next season.

Tierney, 27, moved from boyhood heroes Celtic to the Emirates in 2019 for £25m, where he starred for three years, though a series of injuries hampered his progress.

Muirhouse man Tierney spent the entirety of last season on loan at Real Sociedad in La Liga, where he played 26 times in all competitions, but the Spaniards didn't take up an option to sign him.

That means Tierney will be back in London after returning from Euro 2024 with Scotland in Germany this summer, and the Gunners are prepared to let him go for less than half of what they paid Celtic, according to the Sunday Post.

While that could alert Celtic into preparing a bid for Tierney, the wages he is likely to be on might put that out of their price range and a loan might be a more likely route.

However, reports also suggest there is interest in the Premier League from Newcastle and Aston Villa, where Tierney could link up with fellow Scot John McGinn.
