Arsenal increasing ticket prices in bid to combat ‘continued rising costs’ as club prepare to announce losses
Arsenal have announced a four per cent increase on ticket prices for next season as the club bids to get their finances back to “a breakeven position in the medium term”.
The across-the-board rise, Arsenal’s first since 2014, comes as the club prepares to announce huge losses in their accounts for the latest financial year.
Arsenal have stressed the decision to increase ticket prices has “not been taken lightly” and has been done as they combat “continued rising costs”.
Like many clubs, Arsenal have been hit hard financially by the impact of Covid-19. But they were already making a loss before the pandemic struck.
As a result, the club is looking to grow revenue streams and matchday is one area being targeted as they look to reach “a breakeven position in the medium term” with their finances.
