Arsenal get huge boost as Man City star Erling Haaland makes title race claim

Here are your Manchester City evening headlines for Sunday, March 12.

The return of Gabriel Jesus to the Arsenal squad has been hailed as a "huge" boost to the Gunners' Premier League title ambitions.

The striker was named on the bench for Sunday's top-flight trip to Fulham having not played since picking up a knee injury at last year’s World Cup. The 25-year-old moved to the Emirates from Manchester City in the summer and scored five goals in 14 league games for Arsenal, helping lay the foundations for their title challenge.

And Gunners boss Mikel Arteta is in no doubt how much of a lift the Brazil international can give his side heading into the final months of the season.

Here's the full story.

Erling Haaland is enjoying the pressure of a Premier League title battle and insists his Manchester City side remain focused on themselves.

The Norwegian scored his 28th league goal of the season on Saturday, confidently tucking away a penalty as City scrapped to a 1-0 win at Crystal Palace. Pep Guardiola's side were some way short of their best at Selhurst Park, but know the importance of picking up three points regardless.

Those points closed the gap on league leaders Arsenal to just two points, although the Gunners can reassert a five-point gap with victory at Fulham on Sunday. But with 11 games still to play - including welcoming Arsenal to the Etihad - Haaland remains focused on his own side's results.

Here's what he said.
