Arsenal: Fresh William Saliba future claim emerges at the Emirates
Arsenal star Bukayo Saka is more likely to sign a new contract than William Saliba, claims journalist Paul Brown.
The north London club are trying to get both players to put pen to paper on extensions, but Brown says he has heard less talk about the latter and there is more of a question mark over his future.
Last month, 90min reported that Arsenal are eager for Saliba, Saka and Gabriel Martinelli to sign new deals at the Emirates.
The trio are out of contract in 2024, explaining the above, though they do have the option to extend Martinelli’s existing deal by another 12 months.
While nothing has been officially signed yet, Saliba has confirmed that talks over an extension have indeed started.
"We will see. They talk a little bit. We will see," the French centre-back was recently quoted as saying by The Athletic when asked about a new contract.
Brown says he has not heard too much about Saliba putting pen to paper on a fresh deal and has suggested that Saka is more likely to extend his stay at the Emirates than the former Saint-Etienne man.
Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, the journalist said: "Saliba, I hear less about him and his contract. He has only just got in the team.
"Arsenal probably think there's less of a need to get that done so quickly, but he obviously did look around in the summer and consider his future, so there is more of a question mark probably with him and his contract than there is with Saka I would think."

There are obviously no guarantees, but it is hard to imagine a scenario where Saliba chooses to run down his existing deal.
