Arsenal: Edu could make 'huge signing' in £93m striker at the Emirates

Arsenal target Victor Osimhen would improve the team’s front line straight away, according to journalist Pete O’Rourke.

Osimhen has spent the last two years at Napoli in Serie A, but a move to the Premier League could be on the cards for the striker this summer.

Osimhen has enjoyed an impressive campaign in Italy, scoring 14 goals in 26 league games for Luciano Spalletti’s men, and his manager has labelled him a “complete” player.

The 23-year-old looks to be a major talent, and, according to Italian outlet La Repubblica, he is attracting attention from Arsenal, Manchester United and Newcastle.

According to Corriere dello Sport via Sport Witness, Osimhen won’t come cheaply as Napoli value him at €110m (£93m).

O’Rourke is aware that Arsenal have a battle on their hands to secure the signature of Osimhen.

However, he believes the 18-cap international could make a major difference to Mikel Arteta’s side if he does move to the Emirates in the upcoming transfer window.

Speaking about Osimhen potentially joining the Gunners, O’Rourke told GIVEMESPORT: “It’d be a huge signing for Arsenal. There will be competition for his signature if he does leave Napoli, but he’s had a really good season in Serie A.

“It looks like he’s got all the attributes to be a success in England. He’s a big, strong, fast striker as well, so I think if Arsenal were able to get him, he’s definitely somebody who could improve them right now.”
