Arsenal could make 'exciting' double swoop for £110m relegation-threatened duo

Arsenal signing Everton duo Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison would be an exciting development for the Gunners, claims journalist Dean Jones.

The two Toffees attackers are both being linked with moves to the Emirates as Mikel Arteta looks to strengthen his forward line.

According to The Sun, Everton are prepared to sell Calvert-Lewin this summer, putting Arsenal and West Ham on red alert.

The same outlet claims that the latter enquired about signing the 25-year-old in January but were put off by the Merseyside club’s huge £60m valuation.

Elsewhere, Planet Sport are reporting that Richarlison is admired by Arsenal technical director Edu and is one of many forwards that the north London outfit are looking at right now. It remains to be seen how much money Everton would want for the Brazilian, but you would imagine that it will not be anything less than the £50m they paid Watford back in 2018.

As things stand, Arsenal are about to lose Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah on free transfers, so attacking additions this summer look inevitable.

If Arsenal can complete a double swoop for Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison, Jones thinks supporters will have reason to be excited.

Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, the transfer insider said: “A double move for those two would be pretty mad and quite exciting.”

There is no way that Everton will want to sell their two best forwards in the same transfer window. However, as they continue to make losses, with the club recently announcing a £103m loss for the 2020/21 financial year, you have to wonder if their hands will be tied.

You also would not bet against Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison both wanting moves after Everton’s season
