Arsenal: Arteta's antics vs Fulham that had pundit 'hopping with fury'

Arsenal made it four wins from four in the Premier League last Saturday evening.

Following victories over Crystal Palace, Leicester City and Bournemouth, the Gunners hosted Fulham at the Emirates Stadium – and they had to work incredibly hard for three vital points.

In the second half, Arsenal fell 1-0 behind when an absolute howler from Gabriel Magalhaes allowed Aleksandar Mitrovic to open the scoring.

Mikel Arteta’s side recovered from the major setback, though.

Club captain Martin Odegaard levelled the scores with a deflected effort, before Gabriel made up for his mistake by poking home the winner in the 85th minute of play.

Arsenal managed to see out the time left in the match to bag the win, although Fulham certainly had them worried on several occasions.

Arteta was clearly concerned by the away side’s momentum and decided to take matters into his own hands to try and halt it.

In the first minute of stoppage-time, the Arsenal boss picked up the ball after it had gone out for a Fulham throw and instead of handing it back to the opposition, he rolled it towards the dugouts in rather unsportsmanlike fashion.

Cheeky, very cheeky indeed from Arteta. The Spaniard was very lucky to escape a booking from the referee.

One man who’s particularly enraged by the actions of the Arsenal boss is former Tottenham Hotspur striker, Garth Crooks.
