Manchester City have returned to the top of the Premier League thanks to goals from Kevin De Bruyne, Jack Grealish and Erling Haaland.

The match was cagey to begin with but the Blues drew first blood 24 minutes in when a misplaced pass by Takehiro Tomiyasu was read by De Bruyne, who superbly chipped Aaron Ramsdale for the first goal.

Ederson, who was booked moments later for perceived time wasting, conceded a penalty just before the break following a foul on Eddie Nketiah. Bukayo Saka, after a long wait, sent the 'keeper the wrong way from 12 yards.

Grealish finished off a slick move to give the Blues a crucial goal in the 72nd minute after a scrappy second half up to that point. City ended the game as a contest ten minutes later as a hush descended on the Emirates.

De Bruyne's crossed picked out Erling Haaland, one touch and then he fired it beyond Ramsdale to secure the three points
