Armed police descend on busy road after two men seen wielding a sword as Audi goes up in flames

Armed police descended on a busy road in Bury after a man was chased by two other men wielding a sword. Officers were called to reports of the terrifying incident in Manchester Road at about 4.30pm on Wednesday (August 31).

The men were believed to have been carrying a sword, the M.E.N. understands. Around the same time, police received a report that a car had been set on fire nearby.

Images from the scene show damage to a white Audi parked on the driveway of a property in Manchester Road. Officers say they believe the two incidents are linked.
