Armando Broja transfer news: Thomas Tuchel puts West Ham, Everton moves under threat with firm Chelsea stance

Armando Broja could end up staying at Chelsea this summer, despite being a target for West Ham and Everton, following Thomas Tuchel’s latest comments on the striker.

Broja wants to find out whether he will be part of the Chelsea first team for next season. This will help him decide if he wants another loan move to continue his exciting development.

The 20-year-old impressed while on loan at Southampton last season. This has led to interest from several Premier League teams, including West Ham, Everton and Newcastle.

On Monday, the Daily Mail claimed West Ham were set to win the race and capture Broja ready for the 2022-23 campaign. The Irons then want to negotiate a permanent deal next summer.

However, Tuchel has now given Broja an answer about his future – and it seems to be bad news for any interested clubs.

During Chelsea’s pre-season tour of the US, the manager said (via Fabrizio Romano): “I don’t expect Armando to leave. We are aware of offers. We are aware of interest. That tells us his potential.

“We will take this decision together.”

It seems Tuchel will speak with chairman Todd Boehly in the next few days to discuss Broja’s future. The most likely scenario looks to be him staying at Stamford Bridge and fighting for a starting spot.

The Albania international, who has won 14 caps so far, has a good chance of getting into Tuchel’s plans.

Chelsea have let Romelu Lukaku go on loan to Inter Milan. That is despite them spending a club-record £97.5million on the Belgian last summer.

Tuchel has both Kai Havertz and Timo Werner in his squad. However, Broja is more of a true number nine than both of these stars.
