Argos slashes 'premium' Echo Dot speaker to price so cheap, Amazon 'can't beat it'

Argos has stunned customers by reducing the price of the Amazon Echo Dot to its 'cheapest ever'. It a day after Prime Day Deals ended, and now Amazon is saying it 'can't beat it'.

Hailed 'premium quality' by some consumers, Amazon Echo Dot speakers are a hit with technology consumers all around the world. Competitively priced, the Echo speaker has always been good value for money, but now it's even cheaper.

Thanks to a massive sale event at Argos, the smart devices, powered by Alexa, are currently at their 'lowest every price', and the deals are so good that Amazon is only offering to match Argos' price, and not beat what is on offer from the British catalogue retailer.

Argos is running a number of deals across the whole Echo line. The cheapest of the bunch is the Echo Pop, which has been slashed by £20 to just £17.99. The Pop is fully compatible with other smart devices as lights and thermostats. And what is more, the latest Pop has better quality sound, and a new, more flat design.

Along with the Pop, there are more devices available in this sale including the popular Echo Dot which has also been reduced to the 'lowest ever' price.

This ball-shaped boom box gets that famous round design, full Alexa voice controls and decent sound. It's also compatible with services such as Apple Music, Spotify and Deezer. The Echo Dot usually costs £54.99 but that's been slashed to just £21.99 in the Argos sale.
