Ardova Handball League: Niger Utd maintains lead

Action from Ardova Handball League

Niger United of Minna defeated Police Machine 30-20 on Sunday to continue their good run in the second phase of Ardova Handball Premier League, currently going on Lagos.

Sunday’s game featured only the men team and United made it 15 win in 17 games, drawing one and losing one.

Against Police Machine, the Minna side, who seems to be getting better with each game, dominated the game and should have scored more goals if not profligacy infront of the post.

Niger United coach, Yekini Adebayo said his aim is to win the league hence the need to take the game one after the other. He stated that there are no easy games but with better understanding of the game, his players have been able to do well so far.

“There are no easy games but we always play to win and our desire is to be crowned champion. It will be tough but we are ready for the task,” he added.

In other games, Confluence Star played a 23-23 draw against Rima Strikers, Benue Buffaloes lost to Safety Shooters 29-34, Bendel Dynamos beat Correction Boys 25-19, D:Defenders lost to Kano Pillars 28-31, while Tojemarine beat Lagos Seasiders 30-24.
