Aramanda wins maiden Fun Seekers’ kitty

Araoluwa Popoola (Aramanda), playing off handicap 19, carded an impressive 70 strokes (-1) to win the maiden Fun Seekers Golf Kitty, which held at the Sadiq Abubakar Golf Course, Air Force Base, Shasha, Lagos.

He was followed closely by Olaitan Shabi (Amotekun, Handicap 24), with 71 strokes, while Caleb Adeyemo (Otunba Worldwide), playing off handicap 23, came third with 72 strokes.

Retired General Ken Vigo (OON) playing off handicap 20 won the Veteran category with 79 strokes. The Captain of Fun Golfers Group, AVM Adebiyi Okanlawon, after an intense three-hour showdown, lauded both the organisers and participants for contributing to the success of the competition.

Veteran golfer, Sola Omole, a former Director General of the Nigeria Television Authority (NTA), who competed in the senior category, emphasised that golf was more than a game, describing it as a lifestyle that enhances well-being and fosters camaraderie.
