Appeal after student, 18, goes missing after telling family she's going for a job interview that never existed

An 18-year-old student told her family that she was going for a job interview at Burger King - but still hasn't returned home - 11 days later.

Annie Kelekelo's family are now desperately appealing to the public to help find her.

The teenager left her home in Ordsall, Salford, at around 10am on Monday, February 28.

"She never answered her phone. We tried everything. We went to her friends to ask and nobody has heard from her since that day," her uncle Olly Pendele told the Manchester Evening News.

When the family rang up Burger King, they found out that she never had a job interview with them in Manchester. Annie was reported missing to the police but her family have had no updates.

"We've still had nothing. No updates. We don't know if she's still in the country, we need to know exactly what's going on," Olly said.

Her family said that she has never gone missing before and it is out of character for her.

"We don't know what to do now, we've gone to the police. We've still not got any updates. 11 days is a lot," Olly said.

"We need to know exactly where she is. If she's still alive, if she's been kidnapped, we need to know where she is. She's not in collage, they're worried as well," he added.

"I want people to help us to find her to bring her home. My sister is not well, her blood pressure keeps going high. We're worried, we're so worried."
