Apex Legends Season 13 is set to be launched on Tuesday May 10th 2022, and players of the massively popular title have been discussing a potential 120hz support mode for next-gen consoles.

The game was originally released on prior-gen, meaning that full implementation for Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 has not been realised…yet.

As of writing, the official Patch Notes for Season 13 have not been released by the developers, sparking the discussion about the potential support we could see for the latest iteration of the game!

Gamers on the r/ApexUncoveredSubreddit have been talking about the potential for 120hz in the upcoming Season. The original writer of the tread noted: “When the ranked system reset midway through season 12, respawn added ‘next gen support’ which was basically just 4k and HDR support, with 120hz support said to be ‘coming in future updates’. 

“With Season 13 being just around the corner and basically everything seeming to leak, is there anything to indicate that we might be getting 120hz support with the new season?”

One Redditor revealed that they are desperate for the developers to add 120hz support, saying: “I made the mistake of playing Apex on PC at 144fps, going back to console at 60 has been extremely frustrating and a terrible playing experience. Literally can’t go back until they add 120.”
