"Anything is possible" - Journalist drops important Philippe Coutinho claim at Aston Villa
The arrival of Philippe Coutinho at Aston Villa has made ‘everybody believe that anything is possible’, according to journalist Dean Jones.
Coutinho’s switch from Barcelona to the Midlands outfit during the January transfer window came as somewhat of a surprise and has raised the expectation levels at the club.
After arriving at Liverpool in the winter of 2013, the 66-cap Brazil international soon established himself as one of the top attacking midfielders in world football.
During his five-year stint at Anfield, Coutinho registered 54 goals and provided a further 45 assists in 201 appearances for the Reds, earning a big-money move to Catalan giants Barcelona.
However, the South American sensation struggled to replicate that sort of form during his time at Barca and was shipped out on loan to Bayern Munich after just 18 months.
Coutinho’s time in Bavaria proved to be more productive, though, with his 20 goal contributions in 38 outings contributing to a memorable treble, which included the Champions League crown.

But his return to form still couldn’t translate itself into success at Camp Nou and Coutinho return to English shores with Villa following another disappointing 18-month spell.
Villa secured the creative talent’s signature on a short-term loan deal but they do have the option to make his stay permanent for £33 million following the conclusion of the current campaign.
After scoring against Manchester United on his Villa debut as a substitute, Coutinho has continued to showcase his true ability in Claret and Blue.
A goal and two assists during an entertaining 3-3 draw with Leeds was followed up by another goal and assist in the 4-0
