Manchester United crashed out of the Europa League after losing 5-2 on aggregate to La Liga side Sevilla, with the Reds falling to a 3-0 defeat in the second leg on Thursday night.

Erik ten Hag's men arrived at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium having drawn 2-2 in the first leg of their quarter-final clash at Old Trafford last week. The Reds had a 2-0 lead and were cruising in the encounter, but own goals Tyrell Malacia and Harry Maguire kept the Spanish side in the tie.

Maguire was at fault for Sevilla's opening goal in the second leg on Thursday, with the England international losing the ball on the edge of his own penalty area. Things went from bad to worse for the Reds as the home side scored two more goals to secure a 3-0 victory on the night in Seville.

Here are three things fans may have missed during United's disappointing defeat at Sevilla:

Alex Telles, who is spending the season on loan at Sevilla from United, received a warm embrace from Ten Hag prior to kick-off on Thursday night. United midfielder Fred - who came on in the second half of the clash - also stopped to speak to his compatriot, who started the game on the bench.

The Brazilian full-back has made 50 appearances for the Reds, but it appears likely that he will leave Old Trafford in the summer transfer window. He has made 20 appearances for Sevilla in La Liga this season, but only 10 of those have come as a starter.
